(Yicai Global) Sept. 7 -- Alipay, the fintech arm of Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. [NYSE:BABA], is partnering with a domestic catering chain to create a concept store, the Midnight Food Store, which will only take payment through Alipay, online news outlet TechWeb reported.

Insiders at Yang Mingyu Braised Chicken confirmed the concept, and said the store would be open 24 hours a day and the whole process, from ordering to payment, would be done on a smartphone. The store also offers shared sleeping bags so people can rest at night.

"Alipay and Yang Mingyu have the idea and hope to bring more convenience to users," said an insider at the finance platform, "but how we can achieve that is something still under discussion."

The TechWeb report said that consumers with high Zhima credit scores, rated by Alibaba, can use the sleeping bags in the store.
