(Yicai Global) June 28 -- Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group started construction of its new CNY6.7 billion (USD975 million) global headquarters in Hangzhou today, according to Zhejiang News.

The campus will span nearly 266,000 square meters with 980,000 square meters of floorage and be an innovation hub for retail, manufacturing, finance, technology and energy.
