(Yicai Global) March 21 -- Lazada Group, a leading Southeast Asian e-commerce platform with backing from industry giant Alibaba Group Holding, plans to offer new 'Super eBusiness' solutions to brands and sellers to help them reach more customers.
The services will include a series of branding campaigns for merchants on LazMall, a new Lazada platform focused on top-rated labels and authorized distributors, the Singapore-based firm said in a press release today.
"Since the launch of LazMall in 2018, we have seen tremendous growth among our key pioneer brand partners," said Lazada's President Jing Yin. "We want to extend the benefits of LazMall to even more brands and sellers to elevate their eCommerce operations."
The firm kicked off LazMall in August, and it is now the biggest virtual mall in Southeast Asia, featuring over 1,000 trusted brands offering authentic products. Lazada also plans to offer new tools for merchants to improve the customer experience, such as image searches, live streaming and custom-designed storefront banners.
Lazada, which was founded in 2012, also unveiled a new project named Joint Business Partnerships today. The plan involves collaborating with 12 leading companies in tech and consumer goods, including Danone, Estee Lauder, Nestle, Unilever, Huawei and Xiaomi, to help strengthen their online retailing in Southeast Asia.
