(Yicai Global) April 2 -- E-commerce behemoth Alibaba Group Holding and fintech affiliate Ant Financial Services Group, which runs Alipay, were the biggest taxpayers among China's internet companies last year with a combined tax bill of CNY51.6 billion (USD7.7 billion).
That translates to CNY140 million (USD21 million) a day, financial news website EEO reported.
Hangzhou-based Alibaba topped the same list back in 2013 when it paid over CNY7 billion (USD1 billion) in tax, and the following year became the first internet-based company to pay more than CNY10 billion in taxes in a single year, handing over CNY10.9 billion.
