(Yicai Global) Sept. 20 -- Airbus SE [PAR:AIR], European multinational aerospace and defense corporation, has today put into service its first plane-completion and delivery center in China. Airbus Tianjin has started its operations as the European aerospace giant delivered a A330 wide-body jet to Tianjin Airlines in Tianjin near capital Beijing, symbolizing the first time that a Chinese airline receives a brand-new dual-channel wide-body jet on Chinese territory.
The A330 received by Tianjin Airlines was painted and cabin-mounted by Chinese and European workers in Toulouse, France, before being transported to Tianjin, sources told Yicai Global.
In the future, the painting and cabin mounting will be done in Tianjin, starting from the third Airbus A330 aircraft to be transported to Tianjin in November this year.
Tianjin A330 wide-body jet completion and delivery center will deliver one aircraft each month at its initial stage, and is expected to deliver two aircrafts by 2019. There are more than 200 A330 aircrafts in service in China, accounting for half of all wide-body jets in the country
