(Yicai Global) Oct. 26 -- Artificial intelligence medical imaging company Huiying Medical Technology (Beijing) Co. (Huiyihuiying) has secured hundreds of millions of yuan in its series B round of financing, setting an industry record for a single round. Datai Capital and two other investment institutions took part in the fundraising, Hunting Cloud Network reported.

The group plans to use the funds to research and develop products to expand its coverage from chest and abdomen diseases to brain, stroke, liver, rectum, prostate and cardiovascular issues to provide automated analyses for clinical applications. The company will work on its algorithms and strive to create better experiences for users.

Huiyihuiying previously received USD753,000 (CNY5 million) from Yield Capital in its angel round of financing and tens of millions of yuan from BlueRun Ventures in its series A round.

The group's imaging cloud platform is one of China's only seamless intelligent imaging cloud platforms. It can handle 300 requests per second on a single server. Medical institutions, doctors and patients can log on to the platform using computers, tablets and mobile phones.

Huiyihuiying's goal was to form a closed service loop for screening, diagnosing and treating using AI technologies, said founder Chai Xiangfei.
