(Yicai Global) Dec. 4 -- International consulting industry giant Accenture Plc [NYSE:ACN] has appointed Zhu Wei as the chairman of the Greater China region, replacing Chuan Neo Chong, the international consultancy giant said in a press release. Zhu will formally take office on Jan. 1, 2018, the statement added.
Zhu Wei previously served as managing director and global co-president at Standard Chartered Private Equity Ltd., venture capital arm of Standard Chartered PLC [HKG:2888], and worked in CVC Capital and Goldman Sachs Gao Hua Securities Co., a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC.
Before that, Zhu Wei was one of the pioneers in China's management consulting industry. He worked for A.T. Kearney and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, responsible for both firms' China business.
As chairman of Accenture Greater China region, Zhu Wei will lead the firm's business and operations in Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He will complete the handover with the help of Chuan Neo Chong, the outgoing chairman, Accenture added.
