Chinese stock markets closed lower today, reversing the morning rally, with turnover shrinking.

The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3,372.04 points, down 0.19 percent, turning over CNY162.9 billion.

The Shenzhen Component Index added 0.15 percent, to 11,275.34 points at the closing bell, with CNY226.7 billion exchanged..

The Growth Enterprise Index fell 0.30 percent, to 1,876.69 points, turnover was CNY64.2 billion.

Turnover was short of CNY390 billion in both Shanghai and Shenzhen markets, hit a record low in three months.
