(Yicai Global) May 9 -- The second China International Import Expo will kick off in November.

The planned exhibition area is 330,000 square meters, which is at least 30,000 square meters larger than the first CIIE's floorage, latest data show.

Wang Bingnan, China's vice commerce minister CIIE expressed his hope at a meeting with key exhibitors that companies will bring their high tech products and services to the platform to make the event the launch platform of choice for the global market.

The CIIE Bureau has nearly closed its enrollment of commercial exhibitors, and the total exhibition area of the second CIIE already reserved has exceeded that of the first, Sun Chenghai, deputy director of the CIIE Bureau said at the meeting.

The second expo will add such offerings as high-end consumer goods, augmented reality, virtual reality and elder support and rehabilitation products, as well as providing an outdoor exhibition area for heavy machinery and vehicles, Sun added.
