(Yicai) Aug. 23 -- The number of exhibitors and the exhibition area of the China International Industry Fair, which will be held in Shanghai between Sept. 19 and Sept. 23, have reached new records.
More than 2,600 companies from 27 countries and regions around the world will display their products on 300,000 square meters of space across nine exhibition areas at the 23rd edition of the CIIF next month, according to a statement released yesterday by Shanghai.
The nine exhibition areas are for computer numerical control-equipped machines and metal processing, industrial automation, energy-saving and environment-friendly technologies and equipment, new-generation infotech and applications, energy technology and equipment, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, robots, new materials, and scientific and technological innovations.
The number of overseas exhibitors participating in this year’s CIIF has recovered to the pre-pandemic level, with almost 30 percent of the area occupied by offshore brands, said Zhou Jin, vice president at Shanghai Eastbest and Lansheng International Group, the organizer of the fair.
Germany will be the most represented foreign country with over 80 exhibitors. A German pavilion will also be built for the first time, with participants including 10 institutes and 19 industrial firms, such as Audi, Schaeffler, Festo, and Siemens.
