(Yicai Global) June 27 -- Chinese pop idol Cai Xukun appears to be keeping his contracts with the many famous companies he represents, including Italian fashion houses Prada and Bulgari, despite a recent rumor tarnishing his squeaky clean image.

Cai had a one-night stand with a woman and when she got pregnant he asked her to have an abortion, a whistleblower said on social media yesterday.

But despite the scandal, none of the over 40 brands he represents are known to have severed ties with him.

The pop star, who also owns three production houses, has not responded to the hearsay.

But, a lot of his merchandise is now being flogged on second-hand sites, Yicai Global learned. When a star’s image is damaged, the price of goods associated with him, such as photos and cards, will drop sharply. The price of a photo autographed by Cai has fallen to CNY20 (USD2.80) and photo albums to CNY30.
