(Yicai Global) May 18 -- Shiji Information Technology’s shares jumped by their daily trading limit after the Chinese developer of software solutions for the hospitality, food and beverage, and retail and entertainment sectors secured an order from Hilton Worldwide Holdings.

Shiji Information [SHE: 002153] closed 10 percent up at CNY19.90 (USD2.83) a share in Shenzhen today, extending its gain to date this year to 33 percent.

Under the agreement signed by its German unit and Hilton Domestic Operating, Shiji Information will provide hotels run and managed by Hilton and its associates with Infrasys Cloud, a catering information management software, as well as related services and hardware, the Beijing-based company said yesterday.

The deal will increase the market profile of Shiji Information’s products but will not significantly boost its business performance and financial situation this year because it will take time to reach the final number of hotels involved in the deal, the company added.

Infrasys Cloud underwent strict testing and verification by more than 10 renowned hotel groups, including four of the world’s top five. As more and more hotels use it, Shiji Information is becoming a major supplier of catering information management systems for hotels worldwide, the firm said.
