(Yicai Global) March 11 -- This year's Design Shanghai festival is currently taking place at Xintiandi, one of the city's pedestrianized dining, shopping and entertainment areas.

Famous designers from China and overseas have carefully created 25 installation works in the public space, bringing a unique design and culture experience to the zone.

"We select the most talented architects, product designers and other creative every year to express their ideas in the form of public art in Xintiandi," said Tan Zhuo, director of the exhibition. "This brings more and more people into contact with design."

Design Shanghai began on March 4 and will run until March 17.
