(Yicai Global) Feb. 6 --  Shanghai has confirmed another 11 new cases of the novel coronavirus as of yesterday, bringing the total to 254, the Shanghai Health Commission announced this morning.

Among the total, one has died, 16 remain in a critical state, 15 are fully recovered and have been discharged from hospital, and 222 are in stable condition.

The patients are aged between seven months and 88 years of age and include 126 men and 128 women.

Some 131 have lived in or visited Hubei province, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, 105 have had close contact with other patients, and 16 have lived in or visited other provinces or regions. Two patient has had no contact with Hubei at all, the health commission said.

As of yesterday, 664 suspected cases have been cleared and 196 suspected cases are still undergoing further tests.
