Toyota has established a wholly-owned subsidiary focusing on #EV and battery research and production for its luxury brand #Lexus in Jinshan district, as the Japanese automaker signed a deal with the Shanghai municipal government today. The new firm is scheduled to start production at a plant with an initial annual capacity of around 100,000 cars in 2027.
