(Yicai Global) Oct. 14 -- The real estate unit under JD.Com, best known as one of China's most successful online retailers, will unite with more than 200 property developers to offer homes at half their market value for this year's Singles Day shopping festival.

The Beijing-based firm plans to offer up to 6,000 special offers on Nov. 11, providing up to CNY300 million (USD42.3 million) in discounts, The Paper cited JD Real Estate as saying on Oct. 12 at the first conference the company has ever hosted for science, technology and real estate.

It also unveiled plans for brick-and-mortar stores called Haofang Jingxuan, which offer commodities and dedicated property services. Visitors to the stores can see houses available and the facilities offered by their community's operators, and use virtual and augmented reality to view the homes and learn more about the buildings.

JD moved into real estate in 2017, partnering up with Guangdong-based Country Garden and several other developers and publishing details on their properties for sale on its e-commerce site JD.Com.

The company also plans to use its Internet of Things technology to provide solutions for developers and property management firms. These would integrate software, hardware, contracts and service provision for spatial intelligence, environmental controls, security, transport, energy consumption and service management.
