(Yicai Global) May 15 -- The Chinese government has drafted a plan to bring in a real-name authentication system for the country construction workers as part of efforts to verify that they have undergone required safety training.
China’s housing ministry has published documentation related to the plan on its website indicating that the system will be launched in the future.
The system will apply to construction workers in the country’s housing and urban infrastructure sectors. They are required to take basic safety training before entering the construction site and register on the National Construction Workers Management Service Information Platform.
The platform works on multiple levels covering provinces, cities and counties, and will deal with construction enterprises as well as individual clients of construction workers. Details on the platform should include the workers’ basic information, professional records, skill training and evaluation, complaint handling, bad behavior records, credit evaluation as well as statistics and analysis.
